In everything that moves, shines, or makes a sound...
...there's a battery that needs to be returned!👍
El-Kretsen is a national collection system for electronic waste and batteries.
Together with all 290 municipalities in the country, a number of different recycling companies, and all the producers who support and fund the entire operation, we have built a system that truly makes a difference. 🌍
Recycling conserves the Earth’s resources by allowing us to reuse materials that have already been extracted once. Furthermore, the energy required for recycling is only a fraction of what is needed for mining, for example.
💡Even though we recycle a lot, we still have a ways to go before all materials and substances can be recycled back into their original form. We’re on our way there, but it requires further development—and that development starts in school.
Through our collaboration with Natur &Miljöboken, we hope to help spark curiosity and provide insight into why, what, and how we should collect and recycle electronic waste and batteries.
What is the book about?
In this Theme Resource, we focus on food and our lifestyle—what we eat and how food production affects the environment. We’ll talk about food waste and what you can do to help. Best suited for those aged 14–17. We present everything through text, images, and short videos. You’ll get to test your knowledge at the end of each chapter.
We’ll explore how our “dinner choices” affect the planet, as well as trends and the food supply chain. Should we eat fish, meat, or vegetarian meals? GMOs—what are they, and are they good or bad? You’ll explore the different eco-labels and think about the future of food.
As with all our themes, we’ll inspire you with articles while also giving you plenty of tips on the Sustainable Development Goals, sustainable development, and the circular economy.
